Happy New Year from the Progressive Jewish Link NI!
As most people have been doing since Rosh Hashana, we’ve been going from holiday to holiday, celebrating the new year! Some we have had ‘official’ events for and some people have celebrated on their own!
For Rosh Hashana, we had a baking session with the children and the grown-ups! We made apple things with pastry. Everyone had a lot of fun!
Then we sent the kids to run around and be crazy, and Paula, our esteemed leader, led the adults in talking about the new year.
There were a lot of pictures exchanged on FB and WhatsApp of people breaking the Yom Kippur Fast. We didn’t have an official event, but some people did meet up for breakfast together.
And then we took to the woods and let all the children loose again to make a fantastic Sukoh! They did it purely on instinct and they had so much fun. Then there was eating and then talking about Sukkot and then more eating!
Our next events are Mitzvah Day on 19th November and Chanukah on 9th December!
Hope to see you there.
Thanks to Stories and Light Photography for most of the pictures you see here.
